The best way to avoid repeated translation costs and delays is to tweak and correct copy before you send it for translation. If copy (technical or creative) is awkward or too long in English, the translation is likely to be worse.

Use words the average person can understand. Copy should be universally understood and easy to translate.

Avoid slang and metaphors (for example, sports themes) – they do not translate across cultures. Keep in mind that your audience’s life experiences and values develop in very different environments.

Quotes are always free. In most cases, we will provide quotes within 24 hours of receiving the full document to be translated. Confidential documents should be sent via our FTP site for safety and security. All translations are quoted by the word.
